Detailed Description
Our Lightning Strike lacquer-look gift box was specially designed to protect, present, and display our 2.5" x 3.5" x 1" Lichtenberg figure (not included). It is a cardboard jewelry box with a high-gloss black paper wrap. It contains an ultra-black velvet finished tray formed to hold the sculpture snugly in place, protecting it from abrasion during transport.

The black velvet interior creates a classy presentation. Add just a little illumination, and you'll have dramatic but simple desk-top display easel. With several pieces of tape, the box and lid can be converted into a vertical display stand.

Simple Gift-Box Display Stand

You can use our special black gift box  to make a simple but effective display stand for your 2.5 x 3.5 x 1 inch Lichtenberg figure.
  1. Remove the lid from your gift box and set it on the table top up.
  2. Set the box on its edge on top of the lid as shown, with the black bottom of the box towards the center of the lid.
  3. Tape the box to the lid with removable clear tape. The top of the lid provides a black base, while the bottom of the box provides a black background for your sculpture.
  4. Illuminate it with a lamp if desired.


Alternative Gift-Box Display Stand

In some lighting conditions you can also display your sculpture inside our special gift box as shown below. Experiment and see which display works best for you!


CAUTION
  • Acrylic is a combustible thermoplastic - it burns! 
  • Keep the sculpture and stand away from open flames and hot or burning objects.
WARNING
  • The acrylic manufacturer recommends temperatures not exceed:
    • 160°F (71°C) for prolonged periods, 
    • 190°F (88°C) for short periods, or 
    • 200°F  (93°C) for any period. 
  • Many lamps get very hot, so be sure to provide adequate ventilation and separation from the lamp. 
  • Do not place the sculpture directly over a hot lamp. Excessive heat from a lamp can build up and damage the sculpture or CAUSE A FIRE. 
To remove the sculpture from the box, hold one hand out palm up. Use your other hand to turn the box upside down over your open palm and tap the box several times against it. The sculpture will slide out of the tray into your palm.

To clean lint from the velvet tray, try using the sticky side of a piece of masking tape.
